Real Madrid lose to a 94^th  minute header – Fans can’t help but bash Ronaldo

12-time Champions League Real Madrid slumped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday, 20^th September 2017.

Los Blancos welcomed back 4-time world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo after serving a five-match ban.

Zinedine Zidane’s side on book, were favourites to beat Real Betis, boasting of quality players including Gareth Bale, Isco and Toni Kroos.

Ronaldo failed to capitalise on a number of chances presented to him, Real Betis slowly learning and growing in confidence as the match progressed.

Antonio Sanabria’s marvellous header sealed the match in the 94^th minute – sparking celebrations from the Betis fans. This was Betis’ first win over the European giants in over 18 years.

Football fans took to Twitter to bash Real Madrid, specifically Ronaldo who was expected to make an impact on his return.
