Police and protestors forced to flee the Supreme Court after bees attack them

Police and protesters have been forced to flee after they were attacked by bees outside the Supreme Court.

An unconscious disabled beggar has been evacuated by St John's Ambulance attendants after he got stung by the bees.

The incident happened during the on-going full presidential elections ruling at the Supreme Court of Kenya.

President Uhuru Kenyatta said that they respect Chief Justice David Maraga's ruling but do not agree with it and later declared during a rally at Burma Market, Nairobi, that they would 'fix' the Judiciary if elected President.

Raila Odinga also faulted the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for presiding over a bungled elections, saying that the National Super Alliance (NASA) will not walk into another election with Ezra Chiloba still being the Commission's Chief Executive Officer. 

On Friday 1 September, the Supreme Court nullified the August 8 elections conducted by IEBC citing irregularities. The IEBC was ordered to conduct another poll in 60 days.

Chief Justice David Maraga is currently giving the full verdict but he however says that they will not read the entire judgment as it will take them the whole day.

"We do not need to read the entire judgement. It will take us until 6pm. We will issue copies immediately after" said CJ David Maraga.
