Supporters of the National Super Alliance (NASA) on Saturday disrupted a burial in an attempted attack on two pro-Jubilee Party MPs they accused of betraying the community in Bungoma County.

Kimilili Jubilee MP Didmus Barasa and Bumula’s Mwambu Mabonga (independent candidate) were heckled at the burial of Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi’s father for backing President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election.

Former Ford Kenya supporter Mr Mabonga was elected as an independent but now supports Uhuru.

Trouble began when Mr Barasa arrived at the event when NASA co-principal Moses Wetang'ula was addressing mourners.
