Two Administration Police officers were among four people who died in an accident involving a Toyota Land Cruiser and a saloon car belonging to the Machakos County on Monday night.
The other two were officers of the county government. Athi River OCPD Shama Wario said the accident at Lukenya area along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway occurred as the driver of the Land Cruiser, which was heading towards Nairobi, tried to overtake but collided head-on with the county vehicle, killing the four on the spot.
