Arrest ODM's Judith Pareno in 24 hours, court directs police.

The ODM party's national elections board chairperson Judith Pareno could be arrested within 24 hours.

This is if police will implement a court directive this afternoon to arrest her for contempt of court.

Ms. Pareno is among those ODM party has forwarded as nominees for the East African legislative assembly.

Former ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba last week said in an interview at a local station that he had fired Judith Pareno because he knew that with her entire board did not have the capacity to run party primaries.

Namwamba left the party afterward citing not being accorded the respect and recognition a general deserved.

Members of parliament have been keen to shoot down her nomination to EALA as the assembly extends timelines to allow Kenya put its house in order.

Also nominated to EALA is Caroline Oduor, an advocate who is a member of the Ford Kenya party national elections board.
