Drama at Maasai Girls School as board locks out new principal

There was drama at a secondary school in Narok after board members rejected a new principal.

Maasai Girls Secondary board rejected Alice Saayo who was transferred from Eor-Ekule Secondary School, calling her a 'non-performer'.

Led by Parents Association chair Joseph Preiyo, they claimed the principal's former school had a mean score of 3.4 points in the last year's exams while the school she was reporting to had 6.7 points.

"She served as Deputy Principal here before and her record is bad," Pareiyo said. They have asked Teachers Service Commission to give them a principal with a proven performance record.
