Two Catholic bishops have called for the resignation of leaders with forged academic certificates.
Bishops Paul Kariuki (Embu) and Peter Kihara (Marsabit) said such leaders should cease holding public positions on account of insincerity to the electorate and lack of integrity values required of a leader.
The prelates expressed disappointment that the country was being led by corrupt politicians who rose to power using fake credentials.
"They show no remorse to voters when their dishonesty is exposed," said Rev Kihara.
The clergymen demanded careful scrutiny of the academic papers of sitting and aspiring leaders.
