Griezmann’s future is in Atletico Madrid

Antoine Griezmann says his future is in the hands of Atletico Madrid, as he once again distanced himself from suggestions he’ll be a Manchester United player next season.

The France striker is No.1 on United’s list this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to add more punch to his attack.

An £85million transfer fee plus wages in excess of £250,000-a-week have been mooted for the 25-year-old.

Yet Atleti are moving into a brand new stadium this summer and know that parting with their star man is not the best way to lure new supporters to the Wanda Metropolitano.

And the Euro 2016 top scorer continues to insist his happiness at the Vicente Calderon.

Griezmann told beIN Sports: "As I have said so many times in the past, I have a contract with Atlético, I am happy here and so is my family.

“And besides, to leave, first the club has to want to sell me, right?”
