National Super League kicks off this weekend with six matches on the card in different venues across the country.

But former Kenyan Premier League side Nairobi City Stars will have to wait a little longer for them to begin their life in the second tier league after their tomorrow’s away match against Modern Coast Rangers was indefinitely postponed by the Football Kenya Federation.

“I have been informed today (yesterday) about the fixture postponement; so, we have not travelled to Mombasa for the Rangers match. Our season will probably start next weekend,” City Stars coach Robert Matano told Feverpitch.

The experienced tactician further said that he will have a new look team as the Kawangware-based outfit aims to return to the topflight football.

“We will continue with our normal training in preparation of the season opener. But expect a completely new look team. Only five players from last year’s squad are in the team,” revealed the former AFC Leopards, Tusker, Sofapaka and Ulinzi Stars coach.

With the postponement of the Mombasa clash, all focus will shift to today’s encounter at Afraha Stadium between former KPL side Nakuru AllStars and newly promoted Kibera Black Stars.

Agro Chemical and Kenya Police face off in Kisumu as Administration Police battles with Bidco United in the other match of the day at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

Tomorrow will see Nairobi Stima take on Mosca in an early kick off match (2pm) at Camp Toyoyo before paving way for the Wazito versus Talanta encounter at 4.15pm.

St. Joseph’s Youth will entertain Palos at Afraha Stadium.

Muhoroni, Sofapaka, Kenya Commercial Bank and Vihiga United have been excluded from the fixtures pending the outcome of the Sports Dispute Tribunal, which is expected to rule on which of the two teams will be promoted to the top tier league.
All matches will kick off at 3pm unless stated.
