Fred Matiang’i: Counties helping land cartels

The Education ministry has accused some county governments of supporting private developers encroach on public school land. Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i said some counties were inhibiting development of schools in their areas by supporting such cartels.

"We are calling on county governments to stop facilitating the encroachment of school land. Once they stop we are fine, we will build facilities," said Dr Matiang'i during a thanksgiving ceremony at Makini School in Nairobi yesterday.
