Maendeleo Chap Chap movement leader Alfred Mutua has identified Kisii region as one of his political targets ahead of the 2017 General Election.

Dr Mutua said several leaders from the region were already showing interest in joining his movement, adding that the party will create a major political impact in the country. Speaking in Kisii yesterday, the Machakos governor said the party will field candidates in all political positions starting from the governor's seat to the ward level.

"It is possible to have better leadership in the country. This is the party for change. One does not become a leader to lead people into poverty," said Mutua.

He said leaders should be ready to take Kenya forward and stop misusing the youth. "We can have disagreements but how to solve them matters a lot," he said.
