Newly-elected Jubilee Party interim officials formally took office with a pledge to quell the acrimony that arose following their appointment.

Interim chairman Elias Kathiga pledged to be impartial in overseeing party affairs and urged those who lost out in the branch elections to swallow their pride and work with the interim leaders to popularise the party in the county.

Speaking at the JP county headquarters, Mr Kathiga conceded that the election experienced several hiccups and that a delicate balancing act to unify political factions within the party was needed.
