Sony Sugar remain optimistic they will take part in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) next season. Club chairman Paul Orato said the club submitted their licensing documents before the Friday deadline.

“I had a challenge submitting the documents but the committee allowed me to present what was needed,” he said.

“The licensing committee needed some extra documents, which we have now submitted and remain confident we will be eligible for next season.”

Orato added that he is delighted with the support given to clubs by Football Kenya Federation. “We are grateful that FKF is keen to ensure that all clubs comply.
