Form One selection put off to Tuesday next week

The much-anticipated Form One selection that was scheduled to be launched tomorrow has been pushed to Tuesday next week.

"This is to invite you to the launch of the 2017 Form One selection that will take place at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) on Tuesday December 13," a statement by Education PS Belio Kipsang' Wednesday  read.

Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i will preside over the ceremony. However, the reporting date for Form One students remains January 9.

The circular was sent to all regional education coordinators and county directors of education.

Dr Matiang'i said the 5,143 pupils who scored 400 marks and above will get places in the 103 national schools.
