China's Zheng Tao set a new world record to win gold in the men's 100m backstroke S6 final at the Rio Paralympics on Thursday.

Zheng clocked 1 minute 10.84 seconds to eclipse the previous record held by his compatriot Jia Hongguang by 1.43 seconds.
