Institutions to blame for hate mongering

The passing of the Constitution in 2010 paved way for massive change and independence of many institutions that were once shackled by Government interference.

The Constitution became an instrument of change and even those who opposed have come to appreciate its benefits.

Institutions such as the National Cohesion and Integration Commission, The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights were tasked to protect the rights of Kenyans and act as watchdogs.

But if they were to be gauged, they have totally failed us, as politicians are busy ruining the country, police aimlessly shooting innocent Kenyans; all this happening under their watch.

It is true arrests have been made, but what good does it do if the architects of these crimes are freed only to commit worse crimes.

What we need are strong independent institutions that are not afraid of political consequences in serving the public.

Politicians are holding the country to ransom, dividing the people through hate speech, and it is only a matter of time before all hell breaks loose.
