Student flees exam room after being caught cheating

A third year female student at a local University escaped with a whisker after being caught cheating by one of the examination supervisors during an ongoing examination.

The self-sponsored Education student had strategically positioned herself at the far end of the lecture hall.

She was armed with answers well documented on small pieces of paper dubbed as Mwakenya. Surprisingly she had sat in full view of her examination supervisors.

Her forty days were shorter than she expected. Before the exam had begun, supervisors warned students of harsh penalties for those caught engaging in exam malpractice.

One of the supervisors on entering the exam room suspected her and ordered her to move to a different position.

In panic and shock she tried to hide some of her cheating materials but little did she know that she had left other Mwakenyas in the answer sheet booklet.

The supervisor who happened to be the same lecturer for the unit, took the exam booklet.

Cheating materials were numerous and it is alleged that the girl had documented short notes for the whole unit.

On being probed as to why she had entered the exam room with cheating materials, the female student claimed that they were for a different unit.

Her situation worsened after the cheating papers she had hid in her pocket could be seen protruding since she had hid them in a hurry.

She sweated profusely amid laughter and shock from her fellow students.

“This is shocking, you claim that these are notes for other units when in real sense they are for this unit. This is exam malpractice and cannot be condoned” said the charged lecturer.

To escape the wrath that was awaiting her, she ran out quickly amid calls from the exam supervisors to go back.

The exam supervisor tried to trace her but in vain.
