Pope Francis opts for miniature Honda Car

The car in which Pope Francis rode from JKIA to State House upon his arrival in Kenya.
Nairobi, Kenya: Pope Francis opted for a lowly miniature Honda Car even as his hosts arrived in custom designer made limousines and SUVS with blaring sirens and police escorts.

After a brief reception at the JKIA, the Pope took a back seat in the car that almost was unrecognisable in the huge fleet of government limousines.

His ride was the kind of car Kenya's affluent would not even accept in the exclusive membership clubs or the leafy gated communities.

The car had pendant with the Vatican flag fluttering from its left as it joined the snaking convoy on its way to State House for a heroic welcome meeting hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Earlier after arrival the President stood side by side with the religious figure as he sampled dances and welcome songs by Kenyan faithful with amazement.
