Kenya Orient Insurance Limited is settling claims by businesses in Narok affected by recent flash floods that destroyed property worth millions of shillings. The company is the first insurer to pay claims related to the floods.

Mr Walter Njogu, one of the affected businessmen, received a settlement cheque of Sh3.1 million from Kenya Orient Insurance Limited General Manager and Head of Claims Mercy Kiana at the Family Bank branch in Narok. His business was insured by the Orient Business policy offered by Kenya Orient Insurance.
