Count Maasai community out of JAP, TNA MP says

An MP allied to The National Alliance party (TNA) has dismissed the recently formed Jubilee Alliance Party, saying it is led by "political rejects".

Narok North MP Moitalel Kenta said none of the leaders from the Maasai community was consulted before the formation of the party.

Speaking in Nkokolani in Olokurto when he commissioned Sh12 million CDF projects, Kenta said TNA members from Narok County will not join JAP because they are not sure if they have a stake in it.

"We cannot be herded around like sheep. We read mischief in the hurried manner in which the party was formed and we cannot join it because there were no structured consultations before it was formed," said Kenta.

Recently, Kenta said the Maasai will front its own presidential candidate in the 2022 General Election.
