Nairobi, Kenya: A joint security committee comprising members of the National Assembly and Senate Thursday convened to vet Joseph Boinet for the position of Inspector General of Police.
If approved, Boinet will be the second IG under the new Constitution and will replace David Kimaiyo who resigned last year citing personal reasons. Kimaiyo has since been appointed Kenya Airports Authority Chairman.
