Kirinyaga, Kenya: All KCSE candidates from Kerugoya Boys High School in Kirinyaga County have been suspended over indiscipline.

The candidates will from today sit for the remaining national examination papers from home and will be subjected to a thorough check whenever they enter or leave the institution.

Announcing the punitive measures, County Director of Education Joseph Nyaga said they have established that the candidates were behind a series disturbances in the school. He said they were inciting their juniors to riot to create a ‘looting environment’.

“As education experts, we have together with the teachers found out that the Form Fours want other students to become unruly so that they are sent away to create an environment for them to loot property belonging to the other students,” he said.

The students were sent packing last Friday and they could be seen carrying their belonging away.
