Considering how long the problem has taken to rectify, lack of electricity at General Service Unit (GSU) headquarters in Ruaraka, Nairobi, has gone beyond sheer technical hitch to negligence.
On April 23, Mr Majanga Juma reported that the camp had been without power for three weeks (Forces of darkness in the city). This was history repeating itself as last year we published a similar complaint from a frustrated "junior officer" (GSU officers without power, August 4).
