Do you support IEBC’s plan to conduct mock elections in June 2017?

The problem is that the mock elections set for June might just be like the ones held in 2013; a waste of time.

It was highly publicised but the report never came out.

We were never told how Kenyans and the electoral officials were prepared for the elections then.

The 2013 mock elections should have shown the danger of equipment failure.

The election was aimed at educating Kenyans on how they would vote and also to test the data transmission system.

The electoral body should have done something to handle technological failure.

It was also expected to give the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission an indication as to how long various categories of voters were likely to take in the polling booth.

Again, it may be helpful to have mock elections but will it be very realistic? It makes one wonder if it is very necessary.
