Popular Akorino model and influencer Peris Wairimu and her husband Dan Magenda have welcomed their first child together.
As all the headlines swirled around the announcement of Kenya’s presidential results, the pair celebrated the arrival of their bundle of joy.
Pesh took to her Instagram account on August 15 to reveal the good news. She uploaded a picture of herself holding the new-born baby at the hospital, alongside her husband.
In another image, the model cradles the crib carrying her infant child next to her hospital bed.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruits of the womb are a reward, our hearts are filled with joy,” she wrote.
She added: “Our hearts are filled with joy,” before thanking the hospital for the care provided during the crucial time.
The pair are yet to reveal the gender of the little one.
The news was met by congratulatory messages by friends and celebrities alike, who flooded her comment section wishing the couple well.
“Congratulations,” wrote fellow Akorino model and make-up artiste Carey Priscilla.
“Kongole Pesh,” wrote radio personality Billy Miya.
Bonfire Adventures entrepreneur Sarah Kabu wrote, “Welcome to the world little angel,” as more warm wishes streamed in.
On his own social media account, Pesh’s husband Magenda keeps a low profile.
His most recent upload was the pair's pregnancy announcement, where he expressed excitement at the expansion of their young family.
“Our love has yielded a plus one little blessing,” he wrote alongside an image with his partner where her baby-bump was in full display under a flowing gown.
The popular social media personality and her husband wed nearly a year ago in a colourful ceremony attended by close family and friends.
The union caused a stir online as images from the special day circulated.
True to her faith, the model was dressed in a spectacular white gown, accompanied by the all-important turban and a tiara.
“What a lovely day it was,” an elated Pesh wrote at the time.
The popular influencer rose to the limelight in 2018 after her beautiful photos went viral, with fans appreciating her decent sense of style and good looks.
Akorino are known for their modest dressing, often characterized by turbans and clothes that completely cover up one’s body.
Pesh dispelled the notion that sticking to one’s faith must be boring, showcasing that style, swag and confidence can elevate even the most conservative outfits to look just as good.
