Some women use the blind part of the mirror, or why do they dress as they do?

NAIROBI: It is so shameful walking with your sister, mother, daughter, female allies or your wife naked on the beautiful streets of this great nation.

Many women have turned this nation into a fashion show venue where most of them walk in stockings which are highly transparent and short blouses. To make the matters worse, they wear brightly coloured pants that exposes their entire anatomy.

This trend has been brought in by foreign culture via soap operas, movies, tourists and other television shows. I have been observing this kind of fashion for some time but an incident along Moi Avenue was really the climax.

Some proponents of these manner of dressing are old enough to be called grandmothers.

Our women should look on Arabic code of dressing or other countries like India, China, and Japan and try to ape their ways and abandon the colonial way. Long time ago we used to know that only the prostitutes put on skimpily but it appears a fashion among many ignorant beautiful ladies in this country.

Most women are friendly to mirrors but unfortunately it is like they use the blind part to view themselves. Ladies, let us maintain our dignity.

The government on the other hand should fight for African culture and dignity by enacting a law which will hunt those degrading our code of dressing.
