Every now and then in our streets, we hear cries of men uttering aloud as to why some clothes should be worn. A lot of women have been found in situations that aren’t right to the public figure, many have found themselves on the wrong side and others even stripped naked in the streets.
A case that made many to be left mouths agape is the case when matatu conductors in association with the idle youths stripped a lady in Githurai town. The cases continue till now when it was barely a month ago when another lady was stripped naked in Githurai 44 area which brings to us the question “how short is too short”.
To the opinion of many the length of clothes should not be too much revealing to cause harm in the public, to others for instances our modern women the saying " My dress my choice " is the quote that suites them. The size of clothing has been often ridiculed by many and as to now has been left hanging and has no solution. Today as you loiter around in the streets you will find a lot of women dressed in clothes that make you stare for long and lust for them which have caused cases of rape to be frequent in many areas.
I took a visit in near the street and got a chance to interview some of the men and women about the issue on dressing, the outcry really bended on the side of the old. The old were really lamenting in the issue of dress code. The ladies however were against the stripping of women because it brought shame in the girl child. The young men also added that they not happy with dressing code of some ladies. The issue has seen many left with no word to utter because the world is already changed and technology has already taken cause.
