EPZ employees now back to work after two-day strike

Employees of the New Wide Garments factories situated at the Export Processing Zone in Athi River goes about their work after reporting back to their working station following a two days strike. Normal Situation returned yesterday as other workers continue nursing woulds inflected by the police during the strike. PETERSON GITHAIGA

Calm returned to the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Athi River yesterday following two days of unrest.

The more than 3,000 employees of New Wide Garments reported to their work places as early as 7am despite a call by their union officials to stay away.
