KCPE candidates get exam materials from donors

KISUMU COUNTY: Over 700 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination candidates in Kisumu Central yesterday received exam materials worth Sh300, 000.

The materials were donated by the Gilani Foundation in collaboration with the James Were Foundation.

The candidates from seven schools, many of whom are from humble families in Nyalenda Ward received clipboards, mathematical sets, pencils and pens.

The donation came at a time when candidates are making final preparations for the examinations expected to start next week.

Speaking while donating the materials, Ward Rep James Were, who started one of the foundations, said most of the pupils in the area were needy and their parents could not afford the materials required for the national examinations.

Were urged the county government to provide vital equipment for the students.
