Koth biro is the oldest tournament played annually during December holiday when the Kenyan Premier league is off-season. Koth biro which means “rain is coming” in Luo is associated with muddy affairs due to the rainy season. Despite the weather condition and the muddy field, this season, the tournament has attracted many professional and upcoming players who compete for the lucrative price money at the stake. Young Achievers defeated Inter-City 2-1 in the ongoing Koth Biro tournament at Ziwani grounds. It was Intercity, who scored first, in the 15th minute, through Kennedy Otieno. Everything was going their way and they were now dreaming of victory.
But a resilient Achievers side had other ideas and were back in the game when it mattered most after Ali Maleche scored in the 25th minute.
