After her friends hosted her to a private baby shower ceremony, gospel star Size 8 reveals to Pulse’s NANCY NZAU that she has already named her baby girl in this exclusive

Pulse: What are your biggest cravings?

Size8: Ice cubes! I eat ice cubes like I do food.

P: What are some of the things that you have figured out about yourself during this pregnancy?

S8: The pregnancy journey is not as smooth as some women try to put it. There are a lot of complications. Sometimes you feel that there is no guarantee that you will deliver. I was rushed to the emergency room twice due to high blood pressure but I thank God we are now doing okay.

P: What has changed about you ever since you got married?

S8: There are a lot of responsibilities and planning because every morning I have to leave everything at home in order. I have to know what will be eaten in the house. Basically, there is a lot of balancing I have to do as a married woman.

P: What is the most exciting and strangest thing that you have experienced during pregnancy?

S8: There is a lot of emotional changes and feeling. The baby kicks inside my tummy and it is such an exciting experience.

P: What do you think of the timing of the pregnancy since you got pregnant at the peak of your career?

S8: I was really skeptical and terrified. I remember calling Wahu and talking with her for over an hour. I wanted her to advise me on what this would mean to my singing career. Honestly, I thought the brand Size 8 would die but I realized you can never find the right time to get this done. My husband DJ Mo was ready for a baby and this completed the good picture. Basically, the pregnancy was planned for.

P: How will you juggle motherhood with all the demands that come with your singing career?

S8: God makes everything beautiful in its time. I will take it a day at a time.

P: Where have you been shopping for the girl?

S8: I have been doing it at random places. Most of the shopping was done in London during my recent tour.

P: How do you deal with groupies; yours and your husband’s?

S8: We are good friends with my husband and I trust him to handle the attention maturely. Men still make moves on me even when I am this pregnant. It just baffles me.

P: Would you encourage or discourage your child to work in the music industry?

S8: I made my own decision; I want my child to make her own decision.

P: What is next for you in the coming year?

S8: As I said, I am taking one day at a time.
