The national Government plans to export more agricultural produce to China where there is huge demand for food. Industry, Trade and Cooperatives Permanent Secretary Chris Kiptoo said the government is also eying other Middle East countries.

Speaking when he launched the digital learning programme at Ankamia Primary School in Tigania East Sub County, Dr Kiptoo said Kenya exported agricultural produce worth Sh600 billion, earning farmers good profits.

“China, India and other countries in the Middle East are in need of large volumes of food. China needs produce valued at Sh1.3 billion and we need to take advantage of that,” he said.
