Samsung entices consumers with 4G enabled tablet

NAIROBI, KENYA: Samsung electronics on Monday introduced new tab in the market in addition to its Galaxy Tab A 8” and 9.7”.

This year’s latest entry is positioned for consumers looking for their first compact and affordable 4G enabled tablet for work and play.

Samsung Electronics East Africa Vice President and Managing Director, Jung Hyun Park said, “The 7” form factor still remains an important part of our tablet business and is popular in emerging but highly advanced mobile markets like ours. With the 7” Tab A, users can augment their mobile experience further with a larger screen and battery than their regular smartphone.

On the other end, companies looking to deploy tablets for their enterprise mobility projects will now have a device that is more affordable, capable, secure and ready to take full advantage of the developing 4G infrastructure in the country for better connectivity and information sharing while on the move.”

At just 8.7mm thin and weighing only 285 grams (LTE), the Galaxy Tab A 7” is designed to be easily carried around all day. The improved compact body style also features rounded edges and a back cover with a non-slip pattern for a more comfortable grip. The 4G enabled Tab A 7” also features a powerful 1.5Ghz Quad core processor, and large 4000mAh battery making it perfect for surfing the web, playing games or handling other demanding applications while on the move.

Samsung Tab A 9.7 seems to be similar to the iPad Air. The devices have the same screen size, their screen bezels are nearly identical, and their corners are similarly rounded. They are both very thin and their weights are almost equal.

The build quality of both tablets is high, with each feeling like a quality product.
