Kenyan rap legends P-Unit are marking 20 years in the music industry with a star-studded anniversary celebration.

The event, set to take place at Mass House, off Ngong Road, will bring together top entertainers, including DNA, Eric Omondi, Konkodi, Avril, Mimmo, Prezzo, Collo, Kristoff, Mejja, and DJs Nijo and Wesley.

As the trio celebrates their incredible journey, gospel artist Daddy Owen took a walk down memory lane, sharing a hilarious story about their time in Lagos, Nigeria, during the MTV MAMA Awards.

The trip, which featured stars like Diamond Platnumz, Vanessa Mdee, and Radio & Weasel, was nothing short of unforgettable, especially with P-Unit in the mix.

"Let’s just say they weren’t exactly behaving…," Daddy Owen joked, recalling their antics.

Sharing a hotel floor with Frasha, one of P-Unit’s members, turned out to be an endurance test.

"My room was right next to Rick Ross and Frasha’s," he said. "And let me tell you, I could hear their party going on all night long."

As if that wasn’t enough, the smoke detector in Frasha’s room seemed to have a life of its own, going off repeatedly due to a mysterious haze filling the air.

But beyond the late-night chaos, Daddy Owen emphasised that P-Unit has been more than just industry colleagues, they have been brothers.

"We’ve been friends for years, and their dedication to music is unmatched," he said.

As P-Unit marks this major milestone, Daddy Owen celebrated them not just for their hits but for their unwavering passion.

"Here’s to 20 years of making hits, causing chaos, and doing it all in style," he said.
