Journalists walk out of WizKid’s press conference

Heads Up

Wizkid

Looks like local showbiz journalists have borrowed a leaf from their counterparts in the political world when it comes to time keeping.

Remember a while ago when they walked out on former health minister Beth Mugo because she was three hours late?

Well, the same befell Nigerian musician WizKid on October 20.

WizKid who was putting up at Crowne Plaza in Upper Hill, kept  journalists waiting for two hours.

The press conference was scheduled for 11am but by 1pm, the musician was nowhere to be seen.

Good Time Africa marketing manager, Boniface Mwali, defended him claiming that he (WizKid) was tired having performed for two nights first in Ghana and then Kenya.

“There is nothing much that we as the promoters can do. However, in future, we will be more organised. People should look forward to a lot more amazing stuff from Good Times Africa,” Boniface told Heads Up.

Meanwhile, WizKid was spotted with controversial socialite Huddah Monroe exchanging kisses and taking selfies.

This incident took us back to earlier this year when Huddah revealed that she wouldn’t mind cosying up with the Caro singer.

“I don’t like them PRETTY NIGGAS, good looking niggas! Unless yo Wizkid Ayo Balogun LOL!” read her update.
