Power producer KenGen is evaluating the possibility of setting up a subsidiary that will oversee its non-core activities that are proving to be critical revenue streams.

The firm has recently started diversifying its product offering. In addition to its core business of electricity generation, it is now selling other products and services including geothermal steam and commercial drilling services.
