‘’Every creature is better alive than dead, men and moose and pine trees, and he who understands it aright will rather preserve its life than destroy it.’’ The words of Henry David Thoreau resonate with the mandate of Ecotourism Kenya which seeks to promote responsible tourism practices that sustain the wellbeing of both communities and the environment.
At a gala night and awards ceremony that is set for 14th October at the Radisson Blu hotel, nominees will be awarded for their great contribution towards ecotourism. Under the theme ‘Sustainable Tourism: Our diversity, Our strength’, in partnership with the Kenya Tourism Board, the eco-warriors award will recognize the unsung heroes and heroines for their contribution towards sustainable tourism in Kenya.
