Finally: Manchester United Sack van Gaal

Louis van Gaal

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been sacked alongside his coaching staff ahead of Mourinho’s debut believed to be finalised tomorrow.

According to reports, United vice chair Ed Woodward arrived at Old Trafford training complex to have talks with the Dutch man, where he informed him alongside his coaching staff that his services to the Reds were no longer needed.

The staff that left with van Gaal included United assistant coach Albert Stuivenberg and goalkeeper coach Frans Hoek.

On Saturday, van Gaal led his squad in winning the FA cup finals, a move that saved United to entering Europa league 2016.

However, despite the celebrations to United's FA Cup, speculations that Van Gaal was to be replaced by the former Chelsea boss in the coming days grew imminent.

On Sunday, the Dutch man was quoted saying that ‘it’s over’, a statement that many translated to mean his reign at the old Trafford. But United defended him saying that he meant ‘the season.’

Jose Mourinho is expected to have his deal finalised tomorrow which will pave way for his entry at old Trafford.
