Embu MCA tells voters to elect born-again Christians

“I believe in people who are born-again Mr Speaker, because even as they steal, they fear the Lord"- Steve Simba

A County Assembly Member (MCA) from Embu has urged the electorate to only vote for God-fearing politicians who profess their faith. The Runyenjes MCA, Steve Simba, claimed that “carefree gluttons” had robbed Kenyans for too long, adding that Embu County was suffering from  the effects of public funds plunder because the County Assembly did not scrutinise the religious virtues of senior county officials when vetting them for appointment.

“I believe in people who are born-again Mr Speaker, because even as they steal, they fear the Lord. It is high time we gave an opportunity to people who profess Christianity to serve this county. I also call upon the electorate not to elect people who are not born-again,” Simba said during a past House session.
