Meru Governor Peter Munya announces his 2017 political vehicle

Meru Governor Peter Munya has announced that he will ride on the Alliance Party of Kenya in the next elections. "We have taken over an existing party, and are revamping it.

Now that the Bus (Alliance Party of Kenya) has landed in the Kathita River, our dream of making Meru great is still alive," said Mr Munya who was accompanied by his wife, Phoebe, at a Cancer screening event in Akachiu in Igembe South.

Mr Munya said he is in talks with people who wish to partner with him in his quest to give Meru a party that will enhance the bargaining power of the region. He vowed not to be swayed or intimidated into joining Jubilee Party.

"Even in Kericho they are going to be trounced. Hiyo ni kionjo. Hapa pia tutawaonyesha kivumbi (We will show them dust here," said Munya.-Phares Mutembei
