PSs Songa, Mangiti, Tiampati and Konchella left in the cold after reshuffle

John Konchella

Kenya: The fate of three Principal Secretaries Wilson Songa, Joseph Tiampati and John Konchella, who held powerful dockets, now hangs in the balance after their names did not feature among the 41 listed in President Uhuru’s bureaucrats.

Wilson Songa served in the Ministry of Industrialization and Enterprise Development as PS.

Former banker John Konchella, who was PS  in State Department for East African Affairs, appeared to have been equally left out when he was not named to any substantive position creating fears that he may have fallen out of favour with top echelons of the Executive.

Embattled PS for Planning Peter Mangiti, who was charged in court with alleged involvement in graft at the Ministry of Devolution and Planning, was equally omitted from the list of new entrants.

The PS in the Ministry of ICT Tiampati’s name did not feature and it was immediately clearly if he like the others, were on their way out of the Jubilee Administration rank and file.
