Hellofood portal to launch in Kenya’s major towns

Nairobi, Kenya: Food portal, Hellofood plans to rollout services in major towns to create employment and improve service delivery to its partners.

Hellofood allows one to order for food online from a listing of over 270 restaurants selling on its online marketplace.

“Because of the support thousands of loyal customers and dedicated staff have given us, we are able to give back to the community by providing job opportunities to hundreds as we continue to expand across Kenya. The customer experience will only get better from here,” said Managing Director, Hellofood Kenya, Duncan Muchangi

“There is a growing customer base and the demand for the food ordering services, we are already in Mombasa and planning to rollout our services in other towns,” he said adding that the move would also create hundreds of job opportunities for talented youths.

Since its founding in November 2012, Hellofood Kenya has grown by double digits to revolutionize how Kenya eats by providing food delivery services to customers across Nairobi and recently Mombasa. The company has also developed mobile shopping applications from which customers can shop to keep up with the changing trends and technologies.

Across Africa, Hellofood has grown 20 percent per month in the last 36 months, tripled in size in the last 12 months and now employs over 500 people in 11 challenging markets 50 percent of who are women and to this day, its delivery riders have traveled the equivalent of one hundred times around the earth to make deliveries while six of its former employees have moved on to start own technological companies.

In celebrating its 3rd anniversary, Hellofood will be offering up-to 50 per cent discounts ordered on the 27th of this month to coincide with Black Friday which is expected to record the highest ever online food orders ever.
