Kenyan public schools to close from Monday as teachers' strike persist

NAIROBI: All Public and Private schools are set to close beginning Monday, thanks to the pressure piled by the three-week teachers' strike and lack of capitation funds that have rendered management of schools difficult.

On Friday, the Ministry of Education ordered all schools to close for all learners except KCPE and KCSE candidates who are set to start their exams from October 12.
