World Bank to support devolution through training locals

The World Bank plans to support the implementation of devolution through partnerships with counties and the national government agencies.

The project involves training local people and is aimed at sensitising financial managers at the counties on prudent fund utilisation and also educate locals to participate in policy making and monitoring of development projects.

The World Bank country team leader in charge of devolution support projects, Mr Christopher Finch (above centre), says the plan will be implemented across the country to help build strong institutions.
