National team Harambee Stars coach Bobby Williamson is excited with news that winger Paul Were is on the verge of joining Gor Mahia.
The move will make Were available for Saturday’s Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) match against Ethiopia.
This will be a positive addition to Williamson especially after the winger put in a man of the match performance against Congo Brazaville two weeks ago by scoring in a 1-1 tie in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Were, who formerly played for Durban-based AmaZulu will be eligible to play for Harambee Stars this weekend if he finally joins Gor Mahia. The Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) tournament is exclusively reserved for local-based players.
