Chelsea linked with Atletico Madrid star

Chelsea could make a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke this summer, with Filipe Luis heading in the other direction.

Report says Blues are in talks over the move, which would also see them pay the current Spanish champions £30million.

Mourinho is plotting an assault on the Champions League next season, after this year's disappointing exit to Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16.

He has reportedly identified Koke as his main target - and the Atleti man has a £44million release clause in his contract.

Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo apparently travelled to Spain to watch Koke play last month, and a place in the squad at Stamford Bridge could be freed up if John Obi Mikel moves to Real Madrid.

Mourinho is also keen on Inter striker Mauro Icardi according to the report, as well as Robert Green as a back-up keeper with Petr Cech set to leave the club, and West Ham fullback Aaron Cresswell.

Chelsea won the Premier League with three games to spare on Sunday, after their 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
