The Government’s allocation to the elderly to boost social security should be audited to establish whether the money is being distributed to the correct beneficiaries, civil rights crusaders have said.

Consequently, Ahadi Kenya is now planning to launch an audit to establish the success of the programme.

“I will start my investigations in Murang’a and the neighbourhood,” Ahadi Trust Executive Director Stanley Kamau said.

He said he is disturbed by elderly being denied access to the funds.

He spoke at Iyego St Andrew’s ACK church in Kangema when he hosted old people for a special luncheon.

He also launched a kitty to be managed by the church committee to help the needy access food rations and medicine.
