Mama Ida has come out to defend her man, CORD leader Raila Odinga, after he was spotted rocking a torn shoe at a recent event.
In an interview with Nairobi News, Ida Odinga explained that the former Prime Minister had accidentally knocked his shoe against a stone at the venue and was quick to clarify that it was immediately replaced.
She is quoted to have said that there is no way she would have let Baba leave the house wearing a torn shoe. Having taken care of her husband for all those years, she wasn’t going to fail now.
The torn shoe has become a topic of discussion among many Kenyans after The Standard ran a picture of Raila addressing the public at St john’s Everlasting Gospel Church, Imara Daima.
