Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya tells locals to rally behind registration

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has assured public servants in the county that they will not be victimised by the ongoing biometric registration. He said the process aims at rooting out 'ghost' workers on the county payroll through rationalisation. Speaking at the launch of Capacity Assessment and Rationalisation of the Public Service in Kakamega, he urged workers to co-operate with the exercise to make it a success. He stressed that it has been challenging for the national and county governments to establish the exact number of workers.
