Jose Mourinho’s official welcome at Old Trafford

United are planning to present Mourinho to the media at Old Trafford on July 5, the day after he officially begins work at their AON Training Complex.

Mourinho's players return for pre-season training on July 6, when they will undergo a series of fitness tests, before embarking on ball work towards the end of the week.

United's players involved at Euro 2016 and in the Copa America have been given additional time off, but Mourinho will begin work with the likes of Juan Mata, Michael Carrick and Luke Shaw next week.

The Special One takes his United squad to China on July 19 for two games, against Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City, before returning to Manchester on July 26.

United then face Galatasaray on July 30, before Wayne Rooney's testimonial on August 3 at Old Trafford against Everton and the Community Shield against Leicester on August 7 at Wembley.

Mourinho's first competitive match as United boss will be the Premier League opener away to Bournemouth on August 13.

United fans received good news on Thursday when Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed that he is heading to Old Trafford next season.

He will become their second signing of the summer, following the capture of Eric Bailly from Villarreal.

United are still hoping to tie up a deal for Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan .
